Specification of Graphite Seal Ring
The expanded expanded / strengthened graphite ring is made of tape, which is wound and pressed until the required density is achieved according to application. Thanks to its flexibility, graphite allows its use in a variety of conditions: it resists almost all chemicals, is aging, and does not become brittle because it does not contain binders. It is stable over time for compression and with various temperatures, thanks to its excellent resistance to heat changes. This ring is used as a fire-safe seal. In the air, they withstand very low temperatures and up to temperatures around 550 ° C; in reducing or inert atmosphere up to 3000 ° C. Its excellent shear properties ensure low wear on the shaft. Version with a micro perforated plate is able to withstand high pressure. They are manufactured with dimensions, inclinations, tolerances and densities according to customer requirements and guarantee an excellent seal installed in their housing.
